Ms. Flora's Learning Space

Hong Kong 🇭🇰 | Personalised Learning and Family Support

After years of corporate projects, Flora came to us like a breath of fresh air. And we mean that quite literally.

She had been working with children and families for over 20 years, blending Montessori principles, traditional methods, and a kind of deep emotional attentiveness that is genuinely rare. Her practice already had a name: Ms. Flora Tutoring. It had loyal families and a quiet, trusted reputation built entirely on who she is as a person.

What it didn’t have yet was a brand that could hold all of that.

When we started our process together, something became clear quite quickly: the word tutoring wasn’t big enough. It pointed to a service. Flora was offering something much closer to a relationship, a space where children are not expected to fit into fixed methods, and families are not expected to navigate the journey alone.

So we changed it: Ms. Flora’s Learning Space

Learning, as an ongoing process. A space, as something warm and open that can happen everywhere: the classroom, a phone call, etc. A place where small steps become meaningful progress, and where every child is seen as exactly what they are: unique.

The creative territory we developed around her brand was guided transformation. And the metaphor that kept coming back to us was origami.

Each child arrives like a sheet of paper: different size, texture, colour, story. Flora doesn’t press them all into the same shape. She folds with them, gently, until something new emerges. A boat. A bird. A plane. Whatever they’re meant to become.

To bring that feeling into the visual identity, we designed eleven shapes entirely by hand. Each one slightly different, slightly imperfect, because that’s the point. They can be mixed, matched, and rearranged depending on the context, just like Flora’s approach adapts to each family she works with. The slightly textured brushstroke style was intentional too: it speaks to process over perfection, to the idea that growth is never a straight line.

Flora and Cacao Bats are now very good friends. We’re currently working on her website together, and we have a feeling we’ll be calling her for advice long before she ever needs to call us again.
